Scottish Borders Council is renewing a scheme which backed more than 40 businesses across the region last year.
It allows small concerns to apply for grants of up to 50% of the total cost of a business development project up to a limit of £4,000.
Last year the Scottish Borders business fund gave awards to companies in software development, veterinary care, catering and textiles.
The grants are available up until the end of March next year.
